Zooming into CP violation in B(s) ? hh decays

A bstract The LHCb collaboration has recently reported the first observation of CP violation in penguin-dominated $$ {B}_s^0 B s 0 ? K ? + decay and further new measurements, indicating differences between direct asymmetries both , {B}_d^0 d ? modes. We show that these puzzling can be accommodated through sizeable penguin annihilation exchange topologies Standard Model, constrain them. Utilising U -spin symmetry, we extract angle ? unitarity triangle from system alone, finding \gamma =\left({65}_{-7}^{+11}\right){}^{\circ} ? = 65 ? 7 + 11 ° perfect agreement with determination tree-level B DK decays. {B}_s^0-{\overline{B}}_s^0 ¯ mixing phase ? s extracted measurements a clean way. present strategy = ?(3 . 6 ± 5 4) ° This result is J/?? New CP-violating contributions would influence determinations differently. Hence it interesting to keep monitoring as experimental picture sharpens.
